Ann Rigney Prof. Ann Rigney is the project leader of the Utrecht Forum for Memory Studies. In the past years she has directed several related projects: The Dynamics of Cultural Remembrance (2006-2010) and Transnational Memory (2008-2012). She is also the convenor of NITMES (Network in Transnational Memory Studies) and, together with Astrid Erll, project leader in the COST-project ISTME (In Search of Transcultural Memory in Europe); for their inaugural talk, see Mediation and European Memory.
She was recently awarded an ERC Advanced Grant for Remembering Activism: The Cultural Memory of Protest in Europe  (REACT), which began in January 2019 and will run for five years.
